MEET KATHY DEFINO

Kathy DeFino has a BA in
Music Education K-12 from Fairleigh Dickinson University
She has 40 years of experience in teaching,
both as a band director and as a private teacher.
She served as both an instructor and as the Director of Asbury School of Music
from 1997, until opening the DeFino Studio in the fall of 2005.

Ms. DeFino has worked professionally as a trombonist and vocalist
for over 40 years.
Bands include: Paul Miller Orchestra; Reeds, Rhythm and All That Brass;
Blues in the Night; and once with the Count Basie Orchestra!
She had two opportunities to play at Carnegie Hall and sing at Giant Stadium.
She has also done studio and commercial work.

Kathy currently is the trombone section leader
for the Casablanca Orchestra.
She is the keyboard player and Children's Worship Leader at Lifepointe Church,
and sings locally with a quartet.

Kathy, and husband Dan Fuhrman, have 4 children;
Jackie, Joey, Jessica, and Danielle
